Role Model Recognition Program
The Onion Lake Cree Nation Role Model Recognition Program is dedicated to honoring exemplary Youth and Adults who demonstrate outstanding leadership, integrity, compassion, and cultural pride. Our program aims to celebrate and inspire role models through nominations, awards, and events that recognize their exceptional contributions to the community.

Program Components

Role Model Categories
The categories include Leadership for exceptional leaders, Cultural Ambassador for promoting Cree heritage, Community Service for selfless contributors, Academic Excellence for achievers, and Youth Inspiration for young role models demonstrating resilience and positivity.

Recognition Events
Recipients will be honored at events hosted by the Onion Lake Cree Nation, including award ceremonies, cultural performances, and gatherings like the OLCN Pow-wow and Christmas Gala, highlighting their achievements and contributions.

Nomination Process
Community members can nominate individuals through forms, meetings, or drop-off locations, describing their accomplishments and qualities. A committee of leaders, elders, and representatives will select recipients based on leadership, community impact, cultural involvement, and character.
